Our Mission - We met our goal!!! Thank you!!!
Our
mission at Rio San Gabriel is to be one of 1,000 schools, each folding 1,000 origami cranes, in an effort to fold ONE MILLION origami cranes for Japan.
Our mission together is to donate or collect $1 for every crane that we fold in hopes that we will be able to raise $1,000,000 in disaster relief money.
We want to show that we CARE for Japan in a meaningful way.

A message from the founder of One Million Cranes!
Thank you!
Rio San Gabriel Elementary School has been registered, and is now listed as a contributing school on OneMillionCranes.org. We understand that there are many fundraisers happening at most schools right now, and we have been thrilled to gain the sponsorship of local businesses for the effort at our elementary school. One company gave us a check for $500, and asked that the kids make 500 cranes! ... We are very grateful for your interest in helping, and warmly hope that your students will feel a real sense of accomplishment in taking on this beautiful act of goodwill. The need in Japan is great, but the desire to help is even greater.
With gratitude,
Stacey Jacobs for One Million Cranes
